The Waiting Continues

Caribou Coffee, why won't you hire me?!

The process is still in progress. With my second interview, just hours ago, I know as much as I did before.

I have to wait. Interview again. And keep trusting.

Interview went well. There is to be my second "official" interview on Wednesday. Apparently, the interview I first had with the previous manager, doesn't count? I'm not sure why..but, it is what it is.

I've spent the last hour and a half in Caribou reading a book I've been working through for months now, called "The Mystery of God's Will". It's been so good for me, teaching me to simply, do the not so simple.

Pray and Trust.

God's Will really is a mystery and He only reveals to us what He wants us to know, in His perfect timing.

Scripture to reflect on for this subject: Genesis 22:1-14

Abraham was tested, far more than I ever have and to be honest, I have a long way to go, before I trust and obey as much as he did when he was asked to sacrifice Isaac. He did it without question, completely obedient, without a fight.

May I become like Abraham, trust and obey as he did!

Quotes that have spoken to me, spoken for us to remember as we live our lives:

"The same God who created the world is able to carry you through and work out every situation of your life, no matter how impossible it may seem"

"...I've come to believe that surprises are among God's favorite things. They are often the very best tests of how willing we are to obey Him."

"You lay yourself before Him. You pray. You ask for counsel. You seek His Word. You are willing to give up whatever you need to give up , and you move through the door, the door closes behind you, it is locked, and you know that God led you there, and then . . . boom! . . . your surroundings are a total surprise. You thought it would be one way, and it turned out to be another. Talk about unfathomable. Talk about unsearchable and infinite. Surprises - especially those that disappoint us-are all of the above."

"In the mystery of God's will, we sometimes come to a place where we cannot explain why things turned out as they did; yet amazingly, we are still right in the middle of His will.."

He's arranging my life for my good and for His glory and I'm trusting that.
